Natural elegant color

Madder is used for this dyeing. The hue is a natural light pink with a slight orange tint. You can enjoy both cheerful table setting with bright color coordination and sedate table setting with dark coordination by taking advantage of the subdued pink.
The Hessian used for this mat is rough-weaved, and has a wild and cool aura. It can be great for summer table settings.

  Hemp and natural dye

Hemps have been used for clothing, short split curtains, mosquito netting, harnesses, and many other items in Japan. Plant dyeing has also been used since olden days. In particular persimmon dyeing has waterproof and antiseptic effects, and so was used for many goods like fishing nets, paper fans, and Japanese umbrellas. Natural dyeing one by one takes time, and it is difficult to dye evenly. The items respectively created by craftsmen have distinctive touches and premium colors which can not be found in mass-produced products.

  Natural hue from Kyoto

The great colors are created by Mitsuru-studio in Kyoto. They use natural dyestuff, and value natural hue. They aspire to produce items blended of traditional pattern and modern design. The studio only uses persimmon juice from Kyoto. Other plant dyeing is all hand-made from dyer's-weed picking, to making dyestuffs, to the dyeing process. Dyeing needs a lot of water. Mitsuru-studio does not use tap water; they use natural water from mountain springs. That is all for the natural hue and aesthetic property of each item.
