Everyone’s tea recommends small, thin cups for sencha, and much smaller cups for gyokuro. This is so you can concentrate and enjoy the taste of the premium tea. It is like enjoying good wine with small glasses and cheap beer with big mugs.

Preferred for sencha and gyokuro. They are often served with sausers.
Yunomi-cupTall, thick,
medium to large
Thick cups are good for hot hojicha, bancha, and genmaicha. Large younomi-cups are often used at sushi restaurants.

This is good when you want enjoy a big portion of green teas.
Mug cupWestern style cupSome people prefer mug cups for green teas.
